PUBLIC TWITTER TASTELIVE! EVENT RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3RD

This December, Wines of Germany will engage the online wine community by hosting a public online German wine tasting using Twitter Taste Live!, otherwise known as TTL.

TTL is a premier online wine tasting community that connects winemakers and importers with consumers and influential wine bloggers through the use of the micro-blogging platform Twitter. These tastings allow participants to interact with German producers directly as they taste their wines.

To participate in the public online tasting, go to your local wine store and purchase the featured German wines:

  • 2007/2008 Selbach-Oster, Riesling Kabinett, Mosel
  • 2008 Leitz "Eins Zwei Dry" Riesling, Rheingau
  • 2008 Dönnhoff Riesling, Nahe
  • 2008 Darting Riesling Kabinett, Durkheimer Nonnengarten, Pfalz

On Thursday, December 3rd, log on to http://www.tastelive.com/ at 8 p.m. EST using your Twitter account to discuss the wines with German wine experts and wine enthusiasts. More information can be found on the Taste Live website.

In addition, this fall, Wines of Germany is hosting intimate TTL events for wine bloggers to further promote German wines. The following wineries are participating:

  • Andrea Besslich of Schloss Reinhartshausen - Friday, October 30 at 8:00 p.m. EST
  • Christian Ebert of Schloss Saarstein - Hosted Thursday, September 24
  • Raimond Prüm of SA Prüm - Hosted Friday, October 2
