On Sunday, March 31, Wines of Germany participated as a beverage sponsor at the launch event of Lamb Jam’s 2019 tour in Austin, TX, pouring an array of German wines for consumer, media, industry, and influencer attendees of the traveling chef competition and culinary experience.
German wine selections were paired with four of the competing dishes, showcasing the food-pairing affinity of German Riesling, Silvaner, and Pinot Noir with exclusive culinary offerings from acclaimed Austin establishments Puli Ra, The Brewer’s Table, Cured at Pearl, and Hideaway.
As a special surprise for wine lovers in attendance, Wines of Germany hosted two sessions of “German Wine Jeopardy.” Participants tested their knowledge of Germany’s regions, varietals, and history, and two lucky winners each walked away with a $50 gift card to The Austin Wine Merchant.
