“German Wine From Home” Virtual Event Series Video Recordings

In October 2020, Wines of Germany USA had the pleasure of hosting five unique virtual wine tastings as part of our “German Wine From Home” event series.

The events were offered exclusively to American wine trade and media, but now they can all be watched in their entirety here!

Germany’s Riesling Revolution
Wednesday, October 14

We revisited the remarkable history of German Riesling and its promising future with a discussion and tasting led by Master Sommelier Laura Williamson. Three winemakers from Germany’s Generation Riesling organization joined to present their wines each and answer questions about their distinct winemaking regions: Katharina Fladung of Weingut Familie Allendorf, Sophie Christmann of Weingut A. Christmann, and Philipp Kettern of Weingut Lothar Kettern.

Vino Vinyasa Yoga & The Superwomen of Sekt

Vino Vinyasa founder Morgan Perry and the recently-crowned 2020 German Wine Queen Eva Lanzerath met attendees on the mat for a virtual yoga class, followed by a tasting of Germany’s Superwomen of Sekt – a selection of German sparkling wines made exclusively by women.

Media & trade fell head over heels for Germany’s Pinot trio (Weissburgunder, Grauburgunder, and Spätburgunder), as Wines of Germany’s D.C. Ambassador Brent Kroll and his Maxwell Park counterpart Niki Lang dove deep into these three beloved grape varieties.
